Dr Morgan Thakore was born in Cape Town, South Africa, but her family moved to Georgia when she was very young. She grew up in Watkinsville, GA on her parents’ farm where she spent most of her spare time riding and showing horses in eventing. She attended the University of Georgia and received her undergraduate degree in Cellular Biology and then moved to Augusta in 2007 to begin medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. After graduation, she completed her internship in Pediatrics at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Prior to moving back to Augusta for her dermatology training, Morgan traveled to India for a medical trip where she and her husband also were married. They have 3 daughters.
She is a board-certified dermatologist and recently joined Dr Kight’s long standing practice. In her free time, Morgan enjoys spending time with her children and husband, visiting her parents’ farm, reading, and running. She has a passion for dermatology and strives to make every patient’s experience positive and rewarding. Dr Thakore is also on faculty at the Medical College of Georgia and enjoys working with residents and medical students.
